Meet Our Pastor and First Lady

Pastor Tucker is a former Associate Minister of Grafton Baptist Church under the leadership of  former Pastor George Gholson and the present Pastor Reginald Bagley.  Being "Digitally Agile" he created, developed, and maintained the Audio-visual Ministry. Being called to the Diaconate Ministry opened doors to further serve as Adult Sunday School teacher and choir member of several choirs.  This led to the ultimate calling to newly elected Pastor of Little Zion Baptist Church .

Pastor Tucker has a love for God, family, and people.  His model scripture is II Timothy 2:15 "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."  Called by God to preach and teach the gospel, Pastor Tucker invites you to come and worship the Lord with us!

Reverend Cheryl is a former Associate Minister of Grafton Baptist Church, also under the leadership of former Pastor George Gholson and present Pastor Reginald Bagley.  Serving in the Youth Ministry, Worship Ministry, Prayer Ministry and Women's Ministry.  She's excited about what God has planned for her at Little Zion.  

Her service in ministry also led to her ultimate call to preach the gospel in season and out of season.  Reverend Cheryl's favorite scripture reflects the knowledge that even being out in the world, God will send someone with a word.  She received the word that was given in Romans 8:28 "For we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are the called according to his purpose."

Together, Pastor Wayne and First Lady Cheryl are striving to hear the voice of God, as they allow the Holy Spirit  to equip and empower them to deliver the word of God with clarity and understanding, so that  the people of God would be edified by the Word of God.
